What if I'm slightly over the income limit?

Illinois WIC uses 185% FPL strict — higher than SNAP. If you're over the income limit, also check Medicaid eligibility (often 200% FPL) — Medicaid recipients are auto-eligible for WIC.

Can I get formula through Illinois WIC?

Yes. Illinois WIC is the largest source of free baby formula in the US. Specific approved formula brands per state (mostly Similac and Enfamil). For special-needs/hypoallergenic formulas, doctor's prescription required.

How fast is the application?
