Submit a Missing Pantry
Help us close a data gap. If you know of a food pantry, food bank, soup kitchen, mobile pantry, or community fridge that isn't in our directory, submit it below. Most submissions are reviewed within 3–5 business days.
Are you the operator? You can also claim an existing listing for one-tap "Open today / Closed today / Low stock" updates.
What happens after you submit
- Review (3-5 business days) — a Feed America volunteer cross-checks the address, calls or visits the pantry's website, confirms it's still active.
- Geocode — we map the address to lat/lng so it shows up in distance-based search.
- Activate — the listing flips to public search at feedam.org with a verification date stamp.
- Notify (if you provided email) — we email you when the listing goes live.
What if my submission is rejected?
The most common rejection reasons are: pantry has permanently closed, address is incomplete or unverifiable, or the entry is a duplicate. If your submission is rejected, we email you with the reason (if you provided email).
API access
Bulk submitters (211 networks, food-bank affiliates, government partners) can POST directly to /api/submissions. See OpenAPI spec for schema. Rate limit: 5/hour per IP for the public endpoint; contact partners@feedam.org for elevated bulk-submitter access.
