The Community Behind Feed America

Feed America's directory exists because thousands of pantry operators, community submitters, security researchers, and code contributors give their time. This page recognizes them.

Partner-verified pantry operators

Operators who've claimed their listing on /pantry and actively maintain accurate hours, services, and contact info. Their work makes the directory trustworthy.

Community submitters

Volunteers, neighbors, and pantry visitors who've added missing food sources via /submit. Each submission goes through admin review then activates in public search.

As community submissions arrive at /submit, contributors who consent will be recognized here. Be the first.

Security researchers

Researchers who've responsibly disclosed vulnerabilities via /security. We recognize them with permission, plus offer:

• Public acknowledgment on /security#acknowledgments
• "Feed America Security Researcher" letter (signed by founder Sharika Parkes, on letterhead) for portfolio use
• Free Verified Badge for any of the researcher's associated organizations

Code + content contributors

Feed America's worker + UI is built on Cloudflare Workers / Pages. The codebase, schemas, and content are open for contribution via:

• Bug reports + feature requests: partners@feedam.org
• Translation contributions (Spanish content + accuracy review): partners@feedam.org
• Glossary / calendar additions (new federal program acronyms or schedules): research@feedam.org
• Embed integrations built on /api/openapi.json + /embed/catalog: hospitals, libraries, social-services orgs adopting our widget — every integration is appreciated
