Texas-restricted grant programs

Texas directory operations

Funds data verification of all 17,585 Texas locations: confirming hours, services, contact info, deduplication, freshness gates. The default highest-leverage tier for Texas-restricted giving.

Suggested grant range: $10,000 – $100,000. Reporting: monthly page-view counts on /atlas/tx + verified-count growth.

Texas partner-verified expansion

Funds outreach to grow the 137 Texas partner-verified pantries — pantry operators who have claimed their listing and now self-update hours, services, and stock signals. Each partner-verified listing is a freshness multiplier.

Suggested grant range: $25,000 – $75,000. Per-partner-verified-claim budget tracked transparently.

Texas disaster response (D-SNAP)

Programmatic grants funding rapid-deployment of disaster food-assistance directory work in FEMA-declared events affecting Texas. See /disasters/tx for active deployments.

Suggested grant range: $5,000 – $50,000 per event. Often disbursed within 7 days of FEMA declaration.

Texas-only legal entity option

Feeding America Texas (EIN 92-1776845) — independent 501(c)(3) sibling for Texas-only legal-entity giving. Texas-only foundations or donors who specifically need their gift held in a Texas-only entity (rather than the multi-state parent) can give to Feeding America Texas.

Feeding America Texas has its own audited financials, board, and transparency hub at /texas/transparency. For most foundation grants we recommend the parent Feed America (EIN 92-1761881) — it operates the directory in all 50 states and the Texas programmatic work runs through the parent.

How to grant

Use legal name Feed America Inc. and EIN 92-1761881. Specify "Texas-restricted" in the grant purpose. See /donate/daf.

ACH / wire

For grants ≥$10,000, ACH or wire is most efficient. Email grants@feedam.org with subject "Texas-restricted grant" — we provide W-9, banking instructions, and written wire-confirmation acknowledgement within 5 business days.

Check (paper)

Make payable to Feed America Inc. · EIN 92-1761881. Memo line: "Texas-restricted". Mailing address available via /donate/find-us. Mailing checks to legacy "Feeding America" addresses (the Chicago homonym, EIN 36-3673599) is the most common error — please confirm the EIN on your accounting record.
