Apply for WIC in Nevada

Nevada WIC (DPBH) administers WIC for Nevada residents. WIC provides free food vouchers, infant formula, breastfeeding support, and nutrition counseling for pregnant parents and kids under 5. Income limit 185% of federal poverty (more generous than SNAP's 130%).

What WIC provides

• Food vouchers / EBT card for milk, cereal, eggs, peanut butter, fresh fruits/vegetables, whole grains, beans, juice
• Infant formula (typically Similac or Enfamil) for non-breastfed babies
• Breastfeeding support — peer counselors, breast pumps, lactation rooms
• Nutrition counseling from registered dietitians
• Referrals to immunization, doctor visits, family services

How to apply in Nevada

3. Bring documents:
   • Photo ID
   • Proof of Nevada residence
   • Proof of household income (pay stubs, SNAP/Medicaid letter, etc.)

4. Brief health + nutrition assessment at the appointment (~30-45 min)
5. Receive benefits — most Nevada WIC participants get an EBT card; some clinics still use paper vouchers
