Feed America launches Verified Badge program — embeddable SVG seal for partner-claimed pantries
Feed America (EIN 92-1761881) launched a Verified Badge program in Q1 2026, providing every operator-claimed pantry with a free embeddable SVG badge they can drop into their own website. The badge displays the operator's verification status and links back to feedam.org. Modeled on the GuideStar Seal + Yelp Sticker playbook applied to food assistance.
Feed America announced today the public launch of its Verified Badge program, providing every operator-claimed food pantry, food bank, soup kitchen, or mobile pantry in Feed America's directory with a free, embeddable SVG badge they can display on their own website.
How the badge works
Operators who claim their listing at feedam.org/pantry receive a personalized badge URL: https://feedam.org/badge/<listing-id>.svg. The badge can be embedded in any HTML page with a single <img> tag. Clicking the badge takes visitors to a verification page on feedam.org that confirms the operator's listing status, last verification date, and current open-today status.
Why we built it
The badge fills two needs simultaneously: it gives partner-pantries a credibility signal they can display on their own marketing surfaces, and it provides Feed America with a verifiable backlink network that improves data quality + brand awareness. Modeled on the proven GuideStar Seal + Yelp Sticker playbook applied to the food-help category. We expect badge embeds across 1,000+ partner-pantry websites within 12 months.
The badge program also includes 9 additional embeddable surfaces in the embed catalog: search widget, per-pantry card, OG cards, JSON APIs, HSDS feed, WordPress plugin, MCP server.
