SUN Bucks (Summer EBT) by state
Summer EBT, called SUN Bucks in many places, gives families a grocery benefit for school-age children when school is out for summer. It runs only where a state, territory or Tribal Nation takes part, and that agency decides eligibility, applications and cards.
Of the 52 places below (the 50 states, DC and Puerto Rico), USDA’s participating-areas map, updated August 14, 2026, links 40 to a statewide Summer EBT program; in Oklahoma it lists Tribal Nations instead.

If your state is not listed
Children 18 and under can still get free meals at schools, parks and other sites through the Summer Food Service Program. Find summer meals. For groceries now, find a food pantry or apply for SNAP.
