Which card receives the money?

Benefits go to a separate SUN Bucks card, not the SNAP EBT card. Families who used their 2025 SUN Bucks card receive the benefit on that card; first-time recipients receive a SUN Bucks card.

Payments and applications

The first 2026 payment was June 1. Newly eligible families receive benefits as eligibility is established during the summer operating period. Check the state program page for current application and payment information.

Check your child’s eligibility

Some children qualify automatically through specified benefits or services. Others need an application. Free school meals alone do not establish that your child is automatically enrolled; check the state eligibility rules.
