Check online

See your balance, your deposit date and your transaction history, or use the official ConnectEBT app.

Open the Pennsylvania portal

Look at your last receipt

Most stores that accept SNAP print your remaining balance at the bottom of the receipt. No phone or internet needed.

Lock your card between shopping trips. Card Lock on the ConnectEBT site/app; Auto Re-Lock after 30, 60 or 90 minutes Card skimming is the most common way benefits are stolen, and since December 2024 the federal government no longer replaces stolen SNAP benefits in most cases.

If benefits were stolen

PA DHS: benefits stolen after December 20, 2024 cannot be reissued because Congressional authorization expired. Report card theft to EBT vendor Conduent at 888-328-7366.

Questions about your case rather than your card — applications, recertification, reporting a change — go to Pennsylvania COMPASS (DHS) on 1-800-692-7462. That line keeps business hours.

When your next deposit lands

Pennsylvania loads benefits on the first 10 business days of the month; the exact schedule varies by county. A balance lower than you expected usually means your day has not come round yet. See the Pennsylvania deposit schedule.

Checking your balance is always free. Any site or app charging a fee for it is not your state agency. State agencies never call or text asking for your card number or PIN — if someone does, it is a scam.
