Delaware EBT balance check

Your Delaware EBT balance, three ways — fastest first. You do not need an account or an app for the first one.

Call the number on the back of your card

The 24-hour Delaware EBT card line. It reads out your balance and your last transactions, and it is free.

Check online

See your balance, your deposit date and your transaction history, or use the official ConnectEBT app.

Open the Delaware portal

Look at your last receipt

Most stores that accept SNAP print your remaining balance at the bottom of the receipt. No phone or internet needed.

Lock your card between shopping trips. Choose "Lock my Card Everywhere" in the ConnectEBT app or at ConnectEBT.com Card skimming is the most common way benefits are stolen, and since December 2024 the federal government no longer replaces stolen SNAP benefits in most cases.

If benefits were stolen

DHSS states federal rules do not allow Delaware to replace food benefits stolen from an EBT card. Report the theft to police and file the DHSS SNAP Stolen Benefits Form.

If your card is lost, stolen or damaged

Request a new card and change your PIN through the ConnectEBT app, ConnectEBT.com, or by calling 1-800-526-9099. No fee or mail time is stated.

Questions about your case rather than your card — applications, recertification, reporting a change — go to Delaware DHSS on 1-866-843-7212. That line keeps business hours.

When your next deposit lands

Delaware staggers deposits across the month, so a balance lower than you expected often just means your day has not come round yet. See the Delaware deposit schedule.

Checking your balance is always free. Any site or app charging a fee for it is not your state agency. State agencies never call or text asking for your card number or PIN — if someone does, it is a scam.
